Is it bad to only use a comb to brush my hair?

I have thick hair but it's very straight and I use a comb to comb my hair. People say I should be using a brush, but I don't like them? Does it matter?Is it bad to only use a comb to brush my hair?
Combs are actually better than brushes. The teeth have wide space, so breakage is less likely to happen.

as long as its a wide tooth comb your perfectly fine actually we recommend using a comb over a brush but make sure it is a large tooth one and your perfectly fine girl i do it all the time in my salon
