Heres what my dentist taught me when I was little. On the bottom in the front and the inside ';Up like the roses';. On the top in the front and the inside ';Down like the rain'; and on the tops of the teeth on both the top and bottom ';Round and round like a choo-choo train'; I never forgot it.How do you brush your teeth ? Up an down or across?
acrossHow do you brush your teeth ? Up an down or across?
in circles
Both
Neither. I brush my teeth the way my dentist told me to. Start at your gums and move away. So on your top teeth only brush down and on your bottom teeth only brush up. The reason is that brushing like that pushes the plaque of your teeth. If you brush towards your gums it just makes it worse by pushing the plaque under your gums. It's better to push the plaque off your teeth then just move it around on your teeth!! No wonder so many people have cavities! I've never had any! My teeth are perfect and I owe it to not brushing up and down or across!
across in circular motion
across then floss
both ways
both. Sometimes , just for fun, I throw in a little bit of a swirl. Just a little bit though, don't want to get dizzy.
If I'm feeling really crazy I hold my brush still and move my head around.
well,it may seem that across is the right way, but actually it is up and down. going up and down goes with the ';grooves'; of your teeth so to say and brushing accross brushes off things that are good for your teeth so do it up and down
according to Kabbala a person should have 32 teeth corresponding to the 32 paths of wisdom. From this I came to the conclusion that someone who roots himself in the 32 paths of wisdom should not have to concern himself greatly with his teeth, at most a little rinsing and a toothpick.
How can you root yourself in the 32 Paths of Wisdom? By saying (or better yet singing and dancing): Na Nach Nachmu Nachmun MayUman!
To find out more about this amazing motto search for Na Nach on the web (one developed site is www.moharan.com) also see Na Nachs in action on the youtube!
Both.
I was taught to go across with it on a slight angle to get under the edge of your gumline. But, all of the toothbrushes these days are designed for up %26amp; down (to get between teeth). So, I do both and cover all my bases.
how can you ask that? do it like shrek, with the maggot
Buy a sonic toothbrush!! I love mine... I can NEVER go back to a regular toothbrush. It saves on dentists bills too, and your teeth get whiter because they are so effective.
Kinda pricey though... you need a job or a birthday / Christmas to get one.
Both but you are supposed to do it in a circular motion.
up, down and across
i do both..
check out the BASS toothbrushing technique!
the toothbrush is placed at an angle to the tooth, where one uses vibratory motion with very short strokes, and cover 2-3 teeth at one time.
